SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. It is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. FCCLA

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education in public and private school through grade 12. Everyone is part of a family, and FCCLA is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization with the family as its central focus. Since 1945, our mission has been to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation. NTHS

TREND

TREND is a national student organization that helps students develop knowledge pertaining to positive life choices. TREND sponsors Teen Health Consultants through NCADA training for presentations and demonstrations about avoiding tobacco, alcohol, other drugs, conflicts, and making good dating decisions. North Tech  TREND members also participate in several other activities throughout the year including: Special Olympic Bowling each year by partnering with students from Northview School; Red Ribbon Week; Read Across America; and CHOICES 4-H. Josten's Renaissance

Renaissance_banner.pngRenaissance is a national program that targets educational enrichment. The North Tech Renaissance committee is comprised of both teachers and students who develop and administer recognition incentives for good grades, behavior, and attendance. The goal of Renaissance is to recognize all students for positive academic progress. In addition to many other activities, the committee supports Student of the Month, the End of Year Recognition Assembly, the BUG (Bringing Up my Grades), and the Renaissance. Renaissance cards are awarded each semester based on good attendance, no SAC or suspensions, and GPA.  For more information, please contact Mr. Weber & Ms. Lutfiyya.
