St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete Briante Wells

On May 12, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch released its 43rd annual listing of top area high school scholar athletes.  Among the list of seniors who have excelled in the classroom and on the playing field is North Technical Fashion Design program student Briante Wells.  Briante is a vital part of this year's Girl’s Eagle Track team and the Girl’s District Basketball Championship team (Class 3).  She and the other outstanding Post-Dispatch high school athletes were honored in a Scholar Athlete ceremony at Busch Stadium before the May 12 St. Louis Cardinals Baseball game. Briante says her role models are her mother and grandmother who “have shown (her) how to be a strong, successful and independent woman.” After graduation, the North Technical Fashion Design senior plans to major in fashion design at Stephens College. Congratulations to Briante, the North Technical outstanding St. Louis Post-Dispatch scholar athlete of 2010.
